THIS IS NOT THE HOMEWORK BLOG. Please see dated post for this week. This blog will be updated weekly with observations for your journal.
Day 1: January 17, 2017. (You guys made observations in class!!!) Make sure you note he only had hind legs and tail is about 2 inches from start of back legs.
Day 4: January 20, 2017. No significant changes noted. Water was changed (1/2 of the volume).
Day 7: January 24. We have itty-bitty front legs!!! See photo below to make your observations:
Day 14. Squish has very well developed back legs and his front legs are much larger. Tail is still about 2 inches. Per the directions for care, I will stop feeding him so his body will use his tail as a source of nutrition. Go squish! Photos below.
Day 21. After seeing how fast the other classes tadpoles are changing, I decided that I might keep my house colder than they do (temperature impacts the speed of change). I decided to resume feeding Squish for a few more days, and now he looks even more frog-like with bigger arms. His tail has not decreased in size, so starting today I am going to go back to not feeding him. See photo below.
Day 28: Squish is coming to class for you to make your own final observations of him! :)
